The Scenic Route
If you follow me on Facebook you know that last week I had the privilege of flying up to Washington and photographing a wedding in Lakebay. I also got to stay in the family cabin right on the water and enjoy the atmosphere of that magic place all weekend. It was more beautiful, peaceful, and welcoming than I could have ever imagined. The very first night I was there I just couldn’t put my camera down for anything…
Photographing Krysta & Alex’s wedding was really a gift for me. Their family was amazing, as were all of their friends. I will be blogging about their wedding in more detail later on but the purpose of this blog is to share some new stuff.
I am not usually one to photograph scenery. It’s not that I don’t love it – but for one thing, I don’t get the opportunity to be in the middle of this much beauty very often… and for another thing, I’ve just always wanted a person in my photos. I think landscapes are gorgeous but I always want SOMEONE in them. For the first time ever, in Lakebay, Washington – that wasn’t the case. I just wanted to remember everything as I saw it with my own eyes. There was so much beauty around me – I only wish I could have bottled it up and brought it home.
While enjoying the views and scouting out spots for wedding photos I captured these images. Any critique is warmly welcomed as this is not my specialty.
I’d love a vote on these three images. They are the same image with different edits… and I can’t decide which one is my favorite! Which one do you guys like best? 1, 2 or 3??
Here are the rest of the images from my scenic tour – enjoy! 🙂
