“My Father gave me the greatest gift anyone could give another person: he believed in me.”

I’m blogging this one today – before Father’s day – for any of you suckers who may have forgotten! Father’s Day is Sunday!!!! Ok – now you know.

Onto the blog….

This blog is an ode to all of the amazing father’s out there… the one’s who are there for their children… the one’s who love their children and show up when they need them… and especially, for MY Dad.

I was blessed with a Dad who I truly know loves me and my siblings, more than life itself. He gave me a beautiful childhood alongside my Mother. He taught me how to walk, how to dance, how to CLEAN, and how to work hard for what I want. The title of this blog is a quote I found, but it’s also a true statement. My Dad is one of my biggest supporters. He believed in me even when I didn’t believe in myself. He’s been my shoulder to cry on and my comic relief at the same time. Although our relationship is not perfect and we have had our ups and downs, I know that no matter what my Dad will show up for me as he has my whole life. My Dad didn’t have a Dad who did those things for him, yet still he knew how to be the kind of father he needed to be at all times. I am in constant awe of him for who he is as a father naturally – especially when I remember that he didn’t have the same role model that he has been able to be for my brothers.

When I was a little girl he taught me how to play catch (I may or may not have suffered a few bloody lips during practice with him, to which he would say “Well!! Who told you to catch it with your face!?”) and he showed up to all of my softball games and even my practices. As I got older he taught me how to drive in his precious truck (that I later parked down the street for a week hoping he wouldn’t see the dent I put in it….), and showed up to every father-daughter dance… He even competed in a swing dance competition with me one year and we came in second place!

He watched me graduate Highschool, and College… and now that I live on my own and am building my business he cheers me on and shows everyone my work. Most importantly – he shows up at my house whenever I need anything fixed or built!! He really is the best. I am so lucky that I was put on this earth as his daughter.

Thank you to my Father… My Dad! My greatest hero who shows up whenever I need him. I love you SO much Dad. Happy Father’s Day to you!

Happy Father’s day to ALLLLLL of the amazing Dad’s out there! I went through some of my photos and selected some of my FAVORITE “Father-child” portraits from my family sessions and even some weddings. I hope all of the fathers out there know how much they are needed and how important they are in the lives of their children. You mean the world to them, no matter how much they defy you as they come into adulthood…. they will always need your love and your guidance.

Enjoy some Fatherly images!!

With love always,

Brianna
