For Love of the Game.

I have no idea why it’s taken my so long to blog about these two… I’ve thought about writing this blog a million times because I just LOVE this story… so here we go!

I actually used to work with this beautiful bride. Kristen is a voice and piano teacher and we met while working at a private music school years ago. I knew her before she met her now husband, Ryan. I remember hearing about him before they started dating… she would tell me about this guy on her softball team who had asked her out a couple of times but she just really didn’t want to date anyone on her team because… if it didn’t work out it would be weird – and she just wanted to play ball…

Finally – she broke down and said yes to a date with Ryan. Their very first date was at an Angels game. The two were huge fans, so it was perfect! Nice touch Ryan! Thankfully, Kristen threw her rules against dating someone on her softball team out the window and their love story began that night at the Angels game.

By the time they got engaged, Kristen and I no longer worked together but remained friends… I was so honored to be asked to be her wedding photographer after Ryan finally popped the question on a New Years Eve night at home. When planning their engagement session Kristen knew it had to be at the Angels Stadium. At the time, I didn’t even know that was possible – but I just loved working with them on the field. Check out these adorable photos from this sweet engagement session!

If you’re interested in having your engagement session at the Angels Stadium – call them up! Apparently this is a regular thing… pretty cool 🙂

We ended up doing a second engagement session with Kristen & Ryan in Laguna Beach, but I’ll save those images for another blog.
